Download a FREE DEMO version of the VHF Syntor X EEPROM editor and HEX file generator software.

The DEMO version has all of the features of the normal version except it will NOT generate the HEX files needed to program the Syntor X EEPROM (although a couple of useful Syntor X HEX files, generated by this software, are included in the sample files installed with the software).

Instructions:

1.) Download the file below (SynXPromW32-Demo-Setup.exe). This is the "installer" or setup program that will install the FREE DEMO version of the software.

2.) If you want to install the program on a different computer than you downloaded to, copy the file "SynXPromW32-Demo-Setup.exe" onto a floppy disk or otherwise transfer the file to the desired computer.

3.) Once on the desired computer, use the "start" button, then "run" to execute SynXPromW32-Demo-Setup.exe. This will install the software onto the computer. Alternately, you can run the setup program from within "windows explorer" by double clicking on its name.

The installation proceeds as a normal Windows installation, and can also be un-installed (normal un-install process) if desired.

NOTE: You are free to provide copies of this DEMO version of the software to others.

NOTE: The DEMO version is usually the "newest" version (often newer than the current release version) and should be considered to be the current "Beta Test" version. The demo version currently includes the capability to generate files for Low Band VHF (30 thru 50 MHz), High Band VHF (136 thru 170 MHz) and UHF (450 thru 470 MHz) Syntor X radios.

NOTE: You are encouraged to report any problems you find in the FREE DEMO program and/or make any comments, suggestions, etc. to me via eMail, etc. Further information regarding problem reports is found in the HELP file that comes with the program.

NOTE: The SynXProg demo download is a completely new version of the Syntor X software -- which includes the ability to program up to 64 modes and has several other new abilities. It is currently equipped only with the help program for the old Syntor X software, and the revision process is still on-going -- so it should be considered to be a "Beta Test" version at this time.
